As you know, we’re a fairly young business (9 months in!) and we’ve had an incredible response to our mission of helping couples incorporate kink into their intimate life. The feedback we’re getting is very positive so far, and we’ve been working hard to try to reach people with our message.
But we ran into a problem. While we’ve always known going into this project that we would be navigating the murky waters of how our culture views sex and kink, we’ve now hit a bit of a wall with our ability to advertise.
Though as a culture we’ve made great strides toward an acceptance of broader types of sexual expression, it’s also unfortunately true that, well, business is gonna business. And though Meta (i.e. Facebook and Instagram) will accept certain messaging around sexual wellness (unless it's women’s sexual wellness, but that's another story), they don’t feel that sexual pleasure is an important part of sexual wellness. I, obviously, beg to differ.
I’ll spare you the tedious details, but what it comes down to is that Meta are blocking our very PG ads. And we think it’s because of our name. So we are, as they say, pivoting.
Good Erotic is now Good Ember.
Same product. Same people. Same mission to bring the joys of kink to the masses.
